Actually, I had no thought whatsoever that she could have been a changeling! Afterwards it feels pretty obvious but well, the twist did work on me.
I also thought it was pretty funny that the "distract so that the big guy can sneak up behind" trick was used in both this chapter and the murky number seven chapter I just read before this. xD
It will be interesting to see where this group heads next though. Right now I can't see a clear goal or path for them to follow yet. I'm happy you decided to continue writing!
